room. Full plans can be viewed via the District

EMERGENCY
PLAN South Cambs District Council has asked
Parish Councils if they could assist them with emergency planning for the
district by compiling a plan for the parish. The first step is to collect
information about local resources that could prove to be essential in the event
of an emergency situation within the parish.
How can you help? We are looking for people with specialist skills such as
medical training, language skills, people with tractors, quad bikes, generators
etc all who feel that they could be able to contribute should the event arrive.
We are also looking for people who could help with getting messages out to the
community or can help in rest centres. All details will be kept confidentially
and passed only to the District Council. If you feel you can help please
contact the Parish Council or fill in and return the
form which can be downloaded here..... For

Market Street
The Parish Council is looking into what could be done to improve safety
and parking arrangements
in Market
Street. It has been decided to defer full consultation on options until
after the guided busway opens, as this may have a significant
impact on the parking situation in Market Street. The
situation is being reviewed by the Parish Council quarterly
however Councillors would like to know your thoughts
and comments on parking in Market Street.
- Do you park there regularly? Either to visit the
businesses there, to work there or because you live there?
- Would you support double yellow lines to stop the
verges being parked on?
- Would you support marking up the central area with
parking bays?
- Do you think the High Street end of Market Street
should formally become a one-way circular route?
- Do you have any other comments or suggestions
regarding the parking in Market Street?
Please send your comments to the Clerk to the
Parish Council, 21 Thistle Green, Swavesey, CB24 4RJ or Email: clerk@swavesey.org.uk
